Biscuits Recipe.


125g Butter (5oz)

105g (125ml) Castor sugar (4oz)

5ml Vanilla essence

1 egg, beaten

280g (500ml) Cake Flour (10oz)

60ml Maizena (4 tbsp)

5ml baking Powder

Pinch Salt


Pre-heat oven 180c.

cream the butter and castor sugar tog, until creamy.

Add vanilla essence and beaten egg, Mix well.

Add the cake flour , Maizena and baking powder, Mix to a firm dough.

Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to 3-4 mm thickness.

Cut out in desired shapes. Makes +/- 25 biscuits depending on size.

Bake for 10-12 minutes until just tinged. Remove from oven and leave to cool completely before icing.
